It seemed like it was going to start in windowed mode. Anyway i havent been able to run the game ever since so i reinstalled the game but when it was checking PunkBuster after the files were copied, it just stuck ther where it said something like: Checking version status. Go into C: Documents/ my games, far cry 2, and go into gamerprofile using wordpad or notepad, look for Fullscreen"0" change it to 1. Or try the Alt+enter. so make sure you back up your save file data. with the steam version of the game, it saves your game to. C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ unique ID \ 856. the Uplay only version they go in. C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ unique ID \ 420.
If the game is not launching from the launcher, you can go to your library, right click Borderlands 2, select properties and click Set launch options. The enter -nolauncher and see if the game will launch (this has worked for many) You can go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32. STEP 1. To make this method work you first have to go to the installation directory of the game. STEP 2. Once you are in the Installation director locate the Bin folder and enter it into the folder. STEP 3. Inside the bin folder, you will find the EasyAntiCheat folder enter into the folder. STEP 4.
The key still won't work for going online. It doesn't even give me the option to sign-in with my existing account I had on the 360 version. :(At least the game starts with Steam features now. For me Far Cry 2 worked with steam features to begin with, apart from some random crashes here and there. Glad they worked out at least crashes.
